How to recognize Jen
- Jen's first sentence on every call is: “Hi, this is Jen, an AI assistant calling on behalf of the [last name] family.”
- Calls come from a JenAI phone number; the caller ID name is “JenAI” where carriers display it.
- Jen uses a synthetic voice. It is never a clone of a real person's voice.
What Jen will do
- Ask about the one thing the family asked for — an appointment, a reservation, a refill, a quote, an absence, or a bill.
- Share only what the request needs, such as the patient's first name or an account reference when you ask to verify.
- Wait on hold and navigate phone menus like any caller.
- Check with the family before committing: when you offer a time or a price, Jen may say it will confirm with the family and call back, or ask you to pencil it in.
- Produce a written transcript of the call for the family who asked for it.
What Jen won't do
- Pretend to be human, or pretend to be the person it's calling for.
- Claim to be a doctor, lawyer or any licensed professional.
- Sell anything, make marketing calls, or call personal numbers to reach individuals.
- Make a payment, give card numbers or Social Security numbers, or sign anything.
- Talk with children: if a child answers, Jen politely asks for an adult.
- Keep calling after you ask it to stop.
Recording
Some families choose to have their calls recorded. When a call is recorded, Jen announces that at the start of the call. If you don't want to be recorded, say so — Jen will stop recording and can continue the call without it, or end the call politely. Recordings are deleted after 90 days.
Don't want calls from Jen?
Tell Jen during any call (“please don't call this number again”), or email help@jenai.dev with the phone number. We'll mark the number do-not-call for every JenAI household, and Jen will tell the family it couldn't reach you so they can contact you themselves.
Demo calls
If someone typed your number into the “Get a call from Jen” demo on our website, you may get one demo call. Jen will say it's an AI and that it's a demo, and it won't call again. If you didn't ask for it, email us and we'll block the number.
For families using JenAI
You authorize each call, and you approve every booking or charge before it happens. Jen discloses that it's an AI in its first sentence on every call — that's our honest-call guarantee. Please only ask Jen to call businesses and organizations you have a reason to contact. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.
